This open application process is for BREW 5. We are open to any cutting edge water technology. Past winners include software, sensors, membranes, solar cleaning devices, waste water efficiency technology, membranes, lab equipment, bio-gas recovery, ground water monitoring, etc.

After a comprehensive application and judging process, up to 6 entrepreneurs and their respective start-ups will be selected to participate in the fifth portfolio class of the accelerator program. About BREW Accelerator

Guidelines and requirements include:

  • Your idea must be thought through and have completed some customer interviews
  • Your idea has a market and you need assistance from the BREW to refine your market
  • Use the investor and technology readiness levels in the application (We are open to numerous phases in your start-up, what is important is to be accurate.)
  • You have a minimal viable product or are close to building one
  • Complete your application online, not email, and answer all required questions
  • You are a start-up, not a small business with revenue, that is launching a new product

Recipients will gain:

  • 6 month start-up school from September 2017 through March 2018
  • 12 month heavily discounted lease for office space in the Global Water Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • $50,000 as a 2 year convertible note
  • Access to our water network and preferred advisors
  • Access to investors
  • Access to local, national and international media
  • Showcased at WEFTEC, The Water Council’s events, and member meetings
  • And, so much more

Submission Criteria

To be considered for the BREW accelerator, a company must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have an idea or early stage start-up with a product that is water related or whose end users are water technology companies and users. 
  2. Commit to having a founder or C-level attendee at all sessions from September 2017-March 2018 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA.
  3. Commit to a 12 month lease in the Global Water Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA
  4. Be actively preparing to launch your idea to a business within the next 24 months.

Submission Criteria:

  1. Completed Application on the Global Water Port.
  2. Upload a current version of your Business Model Canvas as a supporting document to your application.
